"body_text": "PAID TIME OFF POLICY\n\n1. ELIGIBILITY\nFull-time employees accrue paid time off (PTO) starting on their first day of employment. Part-time employees pro-rate accrual based on scheduled hours.\n\n2. ACCRUAL RATE\nFull-time employees accrue 1.67 days per month (20 days per year). After three years of service, accrual increases to 2.08 days per month (25 days per year). After seven years, accrual increases to 2.5 days per month (30 days per year).\n\n3. CARRYOVER\nUnused PTO of up to 5 days carries over into the next calendar year. Any balance above 5 days is forfeited unless prohibited by state law. California, Colorado, and Nebraska employees retain 100 percent of unused balance per state law.\n\n4. REQUEST PROCEDURE\nPTO requests must be submitted at least 14 days in advance for absences of three or more consecutive days. Same-day requests for sick leave or family emergencies do not require advance notice.\n\n5. APPROVAL\nManagers approve or decline within 48 hours. Approval is presumed if no decision is logged within that window.\n\n6. BLACKOUT WINDOWS\nThe last week of each fiscal quarter is a blackout window for non-emergency PTO. Exceptions require VP-level approval.\n\n7. SEPARATION\nUpon termination, accrued unused PTO is paid out at the employee's final base rate, except where prohibited by state-specific exemption.",
